Megan is a registered psychologist and a member of The Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has a Doctor of Clinical Psychology specialising in child, adolescent, and family psychology and is a member of the clinical college of the APS. Megan is trained in cognitive-behavioural therapy. She also uses psychological assessment, supportive counselling, and interpersonal therapy strategies in her therapeutic work.
For several years Megan worked in public mental health with children, adolescents, and families. She has also had experience in the welfare sector, working with children and families affected by homelessness. Megan has a strong research/academic background and has been involved in research with adolescents with ADHD, and primary-school aged children with oppositional behaviour. She has had a training and teaching role with psychology students and has also presented on mental health issues in the wider community (e.g., at schools).
Megan has been successful in helping people with many different mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, behavioural problems such as aggressive and oppositional behaviour, parenting challenges, and more serious mental health problems such as psychosis and self-harm.
Megan is available all day on Thursday and Friday and on Saturday mornings.
