Shauna is a registered Psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a background in a range of diverse settings including both adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). She works with adults, couples, adolescents, and families across all areas of psychology including depression, trauma, anxiety disorders, fears and phobias, relationships, bullying, behaviour change, grief and loss, self-esteem, eating and sleeping disorders, substance abuse, anger management, stress-related problems, and pain management. She is experienced in working with the Australian Defence Force, Police and Ambulance personnel, WorkSafe, TAC, and Victims of Crime.
Shauna uses a wide range of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of the individual and the nature of the presented issues including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-focussed therapies, and Hypnotherapy. Shauna is a member of both the Australian Association of Hypnosis Practitioners and the Australian Society of Hypnosis Ltd. She regularly updates her knowledge and skills by attending a broad range of professional development workshops, conferences, and seminars each year.
Shauna is committed to providing a highly individualised, empathic, and supportive psychological service of the highest professional standard and integrity. She believes that a therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding offers individuals a safe space to cultivate greater self-acceptance and nurture positive change, as well as a place to receive compassionate support and learn and develop practical psychological strategies and skills for dealing with lifes difficulties.
Shauna works full-time, Monday to Friday at the Ringwood clinic. She is a specialist Clinical Psychologist for the purposes of Medicare Rebates
