Corina is a registered psychologist who has recently completed her PhD thesis in Clinical Psychology. She is registered as a generalist psychologist for the purposes of Medicare rebates and will gain her clinical psychologist registration by the end of 2012. Corina is an Associate member of the Australian Psychological Society and also a member of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
Corina has had experience working with individuals and groups in clinical and forensic settings. She has worked with adults, children and families in the areas of anxiety, stress, panic, depression, gambling addiction, alcohol dependence, school refusal, Asperger’s Syndrome, adjustment disorders, assertiveness training, self-esteem, personal development, overeating, and anger management. She also has experience conducting intellectual and educational assessments
Corina engages a person-centred approach and uses a range of therapy techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Corina has a special interest in social anxiety and has conducted several years of research on social phobia and treatment outcomes. She is also passionate about helping individuals identify strengths and clarify life goals to maximise personal development.
Corina is available for appointments at our Ringwood rooms on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
