Positions available at DSA Psychologists

General re positions available at DSA Psychologists:

An opportunity exists for 1 or 2 qualified and experienced clinical or counselling psychologists at DSA Psychologists. With the introduction of Medicare rebates we have a preference for specialist clinical psychologists but would consider suitably qualified and experienced counselling psychologists. As you can see from our website, David Stickels & Associates P/L is a group of psychologists working together under the framework of the principal's long-standing private practice. This has been rationalised to now encompass 2 clinics in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

DSA is based in Ringwood where we have established our head office in Wantirna Road. We also lease rooms at a medical clinic at Lilydale, as well as expanding in Ringwood to operate 3 consulting rooms. Lilydale Medical Centre has over 12 GP’s working there and combined with our own advertising in surrounding regions, as well as around Ringwood, our referral rates are very high.

The need for 1 or 2 new consultants arises because of resignations of 2 existing psychologists on the team, as well as my constant wish to fill all available sessions at Ringwood and Lilydale.

We have a room available at Lilydale on Thursday morning as well as having several sessions spread throughout the week including Saturday morning at Ringwood. This is an excellent opportunity for clinical or counselling psychologists who want to work part-time and who either have several days work elsewhere (including mothering children!) or who are undertaking postgraduate study.

If you are an experienced clinical or counselling psychologist, registered with the Psychologists Registration Board of Victoria, eligible for registration with Medicare, and believe that you have the attributes for our requirements as detailed in the following job description, I would welcome your application.

Please ring me via our Ringwood rooms (9870 9069) if you have any queries, otherwise I look forward to receiving your written, or emailed, application as soon as possible.

Director

Appointments are generally for 50 minutes.
There may also be possibilities for DSA psychologists to undertake organisational development with companies and governmental departments in our region, but these occur on only an ad hoc basis.
